I went to my second physical therapy apppointment yesterday. (Do you see a theme here?) I don't think there is anyone in the medical field that I have not asked about making my foot stop hurting.

The latest thing is called ASTYM . Not sure what that means other than ouch. The basic idea is to hurt it worse so that your body gets the message and starts healing quicker.

Picture a very hard piec? of plastic. Now picture me prone on a table (flab spilling over the sides). Got it? Ok now see this little guy taking this piece of plastic and raking it over the bottom of my foot (over and over). Make sure that you see him leaning into it with all of his modest weight. Straining to put as much pressure on the torture device as possible. Can you hear me screaming?
