I really do. I have 2 and they are awesome. Big, small doesnt matter. Think they are just great.

Dog owners on the other hand are often idiots.

Take today for example. Im cruisin through Seneca right by the tennis courts with my homies. Rinning down the path enjoying a pretty day. In the other direction walk a lady and a rat on a leash. The rat apparently thought that my little group was interesting and decided that dashing between my legs while I was running would be great fun. I stumble, curse (sorry for those of you who heard that), kick the dog and twist my ankle. (not bad). The rat, being a rat of very small brain, cannot be blamed. The lady though, I can blame her. And of course I did.

My list of dog encounters while running is huge. There was the lady that stood on her front porch as her rabid dog attempted to kill me and screamed "If youd would just stand still he wont bother you". There was the dog that chased me three times in one week and refused to be peppered sprayed (dang wind). Many have involved dogs roaming freely without a leash, while the owners just watch. (we have dog parks folks). The dogs dont know any better. But the blasted owners should.

Which leads me to my conclusion.

Some dogs are smarter than their owners.
