My Thanksgiving run
November 22, 2007
Hello again everyone!! HAPPY THANKSGIVING! Sorry for taking so long to blog again. Well, I have not been up to much other than training. It has been going well, I feel very strong right now in my fitness. I have been training in Washington, but I came home to Dallas for the next six weeks. I’m so happy to be home and spend this time with my family.
I’m actually at my Aunt’s house right now smelling the Thanksgiving food cooking!! Every thanksgiving morning for the past six years my family and I run in the Turkey Trot.… more »

It begins!
September 25, 2007
Hello again! I’m back in Pullman Washington to start my training for the ’08 season. I had about a month off, and that could have been the fastest month ever!! I spent time with my family and spent a little time shopping…well a lot of time. Today a 3:00 I start my first workout for the season and it is about a 4 mile run up many hills (that I consider mountains) on the WSU campus. Right now I will just be doing base training like repeat hill work outs, bleachers, and distance runs. I will also be lifting and… more »
Headin Home
August 28, 2007
Well the last time I wrote a blog was a couple days out from competition. I competed on the 25th and 26th. My competition did not go so well, I was disappointed with the outcome of my performance. I did alright in the first event the 100mH, but from there it kindof snowballed! While the competition was going on I could not understand why I was not competiting to the standard that I expected of my self, because I felt prepared. After the competition I learned more than I could have ever imagined. Me and my coach walked… more »
An interesting experience in Japan
August 20, 2007
I arrived in Japan a couple days ago. We are about an hour outside the city right now, in Rinku town. I got on Japan time almost automatically, and I also have felt great in pratices even the day right after travel.
Well yesterday me and a couple teammates took the train into downtown Osaka, it is about a 45 min train ride. We walked around the streets for a while with no direction and decided to head back to the train station after a while. On our way back we saw an interesting little side street and decided… more »

Counting down
August 12, 2007
It's Sunday and packing for Osaka begins! After competing at the US Championships I never thought this time would arrive. I leave Wednesday morning at 5:30 am. I'm not a morning person at all, but I'm feeling I will be that morning! This has been an amazing time for me. I graduated from Washington State in May, and I'm now proudly representing Asics. I feel so blessed that I can pursue my dreams.
Since the US Championships I've been training very hard and feel faster and stronger than ever. I have for sure gone through tough days since then.… more »
