It's Sunday and packing for Osaka begins! After competing at the US Championships I never thought this time would arrive. I leave Wednesday morning at 5:30 am. I'm not a morning person at all, but I'm feeling I will be that morning! This has been an amazing time for me. I graduated from Washington State in May, and I'm now proudly representing Asics. I feel so blessed that I can pursue my dreams.
Since the US Championships I've been training very hard and feel faster and stronger than ever. I have for sure gone through tough days since then. Training all the way to August has had its challenges, coming right off a long collegiate season proved to be challenging mentally. But those frustrating moments have made me stronger, and when I remind my self what I am working for those moments seem to disappear.
I can not wait to take part in my very first World Championships and could not feel more ready at this time. I'm excited, but don't think it will really kick in until I step into that stadium for the first time, and I'll for sure fill you in on how that feels!
Well.....right now as I said earlier I'm beginning to pack today, I know I don't leave for another three days, but trust me if I don't start now I'll forget who knows what!!! I will also be going through my events Monday and Tuesday for my final preparation. I will also be going through my events in Osaka, but that time will be mainly for resting up and getting ready to roll!
Bye for now!
Diana
