Well yesterday was state and I was really looking forward to it for a long time but I didn't get to run in it. Thursday night I developed a bad cough and a soar throat. I thought it was just like a 24 hour cold and I would be okay for state. Friday I started feeling worse and my upper chest started to hurt. City was okay. I felt like I tried hard but I'm not extremely happy with it but I am happy. I am really glad my team won. I'm excited for all the longer distances now in cross country. more »

Thomas and I were talking today and we are not going to worry about city tomorrow. It's not that we don't want to do good (we do) but we want to start DCAC already. These races are too short and I want to get into more distance. We are getting excited about state and nationals. Also I shadowed Zack today at St. X and I really just want to get there already. I got my braces off today and I am really happy. Teeth for soo much better without a bunch of medal on them. I just got my retainer and it's kind of annoying but I will get over it. I am also pretty excited about the St. X Trinity game. And I am shadowing St. X on Monday. more »

Yesterday my school team ran a time trial. The 7th and 8th graders ran once around the loop which was 1.2 miles i think. I ran a 6:39 and max ran a 6:53 i think. We did pretty well. I felt really strong. Zack and jimmy also had beastly time trials today. Camp was really fun! We ran a lot in some really awsome places (except for the trails). Going to the creek to soak was really fun and cold but it was fun when we got our whole bodies in the water. I just got back from the worst camp ever. It was terrible. I thought I was going to die (not really). The counselors there wouldn't let you run bc they wanted everyone to be fat like them (jk...sortive) but they wouldn't let me run except in ultimate frisby, maveking (some thing where you run around the camp doing activities which was actually a lot of running) and basketball where my team got to the championship game. So basically I've been really bored this summer. I haven't gotten to do much. Last weekend I went to Kentucky Lake and went tubing A LOT. It was so much fun bc we would put like 2 or 3 tubes out and we would have battles. Like when the older kids got to go out (as in 13-15 years old) we were jumping between the tubes and making each other fall off. It was so much fun. I got back from the lake on Tuesday. Well today I actually did something. First when I woke up I went and ran but my ankle and knee was hurting so I stopped. But then my friend called me up to see if wanted to run to a park and back. Today I have been really bored. All I've done is eat, play a lot of bbball, watch tv, listen to music♫, and run with Max. Running with Max was pretty fun though. We went to seneca and ran 4.2 miles. Last Thursday I went to Cincinati for a field trip. It was really fun. We went to the Bodies exhibit in some museum which I have to say was pretty amazing. It showed real bodies cut up and you can see all the organs and stuff in the body. Then we went to the zoo. It was the best part bc we could go where ever we wanted and the teachers didn't follow us around. I walked around with some of my friends. We had lunch there. Today we had all our classes before lunch because the 8th grade had to practice for graduation or something. It really sucked because I had to carry a stack of books like 5 ft. tall and it kept falling over when I put them on the desk. We had a pretty long recess. After lunch we worked in groups acting out parts of The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street. Then we took a vocab test over 15 sections(it was the book test). I've been bored all week and really awaiting school to be out. The 8th graders have been gone since tuesday which is REALLY nice. The jr. high hallway isn't a death trap for 7th graders. State is on Saturday. I am not really sure what I am doing. I'm pretty bored. We only have 2 more tests before the end of the year, i think, but they are both big.

Yesterday I took a science test over the digestive system. After school I got home and did random things for 30 minutes and then ran to school. I got from my house to one of the roads leading into HT and then Zack's mom saw me so she stopped to pick me up. It was 2.4 miles which I thought was pretty cool. Well since we got off school today I was pretty happy. But today was pretty much the boringest day of my life. All i've done today is nothing. Ok well I watched tv, watched movies and that's it. I can't really run because my leg hurts when I put too much pressure on it so I am going to do this stair master thing which doesn't put enough pressure on my leg to make it hurt. Today I turned in an Islam project for social studies. Then had a guided meditation in religion which basically is going to sleep, but what our teacher does is read things about meeting Jesus and stuff but she doesn't care if we fall aleep. Today I woke up at 5:45 and had some food. Then I got my running stuff on and drove to the start of the mini/marathon. We looked for the second leg handoff but we couldn't find it at first. So we walked around and saw Connor filming the start. We eventually found the handoff zone, it was right next to our car. I stood there for awhile. Yesterday was city at St. X's awsomely cool track. I ran the mile first. I didn't feel that great during it but my time was 5:28 so I am pretty happy with it. Then I warmed up with Zack and Thomas. I didn't really do anything in school besides feel pretty bad. I came home did some hw and then took a nap. Then a realized I had track practice. Yesterday I ran with Dave and Zack at sawyer. It was pretty fun. Today I did pretty much nothing besides run, eat, play bball, and go to kroger. I'm pretty bored. I get to go paint balling on wednesday though. more »

Today we had track pictures at school. Then we had waste of time practice. All we did was do 3 warm up laps around a soccer field which Zack's watch said was .51. Then we played steal the bacon with a baton. My team lost. Then we did a really easy indian run. Then we did 4 sprints. I would have rather ran around the neighborhoods. more »

Yesterday I went to the St. Pius meet. I only ran one event which was the medley relay. Zack was on my team. We did pretty well. Tomorrow I have to do the mile and 400. more »

Today I had to take the algerbra placement test and nasty trinity. It was pretty easy. Thomas was in the same classroom as me. I am really happy it is over becasue i was pretty nervous. I will probably run later at like 2 or 3.

Today I had my second track practice for HT. I also had one monday but I was sick so I didn't run much. Today I felt really good though. We ran a half mile warm up with some stretches in it. Then we ran a mile. Zack, Max, and I stayed togther all up until the last 200. We went slow. We all got between 6:06 and 6:18. Then Zack, Max, and I did a mile and a half slow run while everyone else was doing shot put and hurtles. It felt good. After that we did 4x100's. We did… more »

The title says it, I am hurt again. It seems like I can't go a day without hurting something I need for running. The lasted one is what my mom thinks is a shin splint. Whenever I put a lot of pressure on my right leg it hurts real bad. Besides that nothing has really happened. more »

Our bball game was awsome and very intense. We beat st. Martha 34-31 I'm pretty sure, I know we won by 3. I played a pretty good game, but our team played amazing together. I haven't been to practice lately because I have been having a lot of stuff going on, I hopefully will make one eventually. Cya more »

I went to the hospital to see my friend today. He is doing well, but he was really tired so it seemed like he was depressed, but then he perked up and was normal. We helped him get his stuff together to go home and now he is at home. I have a math test tommorrow.

Today has been a bad day. In school I got a lot of homework and tests this week. Here comes the real bad stuff. Today I woke up at 6:30 like every school day and got ready for school. Then I ate breakfast and had my dad take me to my neighbor's house to let their dogs out and feed them. On Christmas night I went to my friends house after dinner to play some games. We played some game where it is sherades or whatever but you have 30 seconds to give your team points. My friend's sister's friend Amanda Day who I do beleive runs for Assumption was there with her family. I showed Amanda the pics Barry has of her on here. Then I talked to the foreign exchange student they have at their house who is from Germany and is a junior. She is very nice. Then I went home and slept. more »

Today I ran my pretty much first run off the break (I ran like a half mile on Thursday). It wasn't so good. When I first started I felt great. I wasn't in pain and it kind of felt like I was just flying through my neighborhood. It was kinda rainy, not much, but the ground was wet which kind of felt good having the water splash my legs, also kind of cold though. Then comes the problem. Our teachers didn't let us go to the playground and soccer/football field so we went on the parking lot (we call it black top) well anyway, we normally play keep away with the 8th graders when we go on the black top. Yesterday my science fair project was due. I did my speech really well until the end where I studdered a little bit but my teacher didn't count off for it. My project was on Heart Rate and Exercise. "What I did for my experiment was test 5 different exercises: running, jump roping, bicycling, walking, and sitting for 10 minutes each. I measured my heart rate before the exercise, after 5 minutes, after 10 minutes, 5 minutes after, and 10 minutes after."--from my speech. I got a 99 on my project. Today in school I learned stuff. Well I am going to just skip to the point, I had the worst cross country practice of my life tonight. It was terrible. Today I got my science test back, I got an 86, not so bad knowing that the smartest kid in the grade got an 87, and our science tests are impossible, ask Zack. Today I went to the state meet. It wasn't very good for me because I fell in some mud right after the start before the first uphill. Also, I was really hungry during the race. So basically I had to have my worst race all year at the biggest race all year. more »

Today I have been doing nothing but read and do my science fair project. Well I decided I was going to clean out my spikes a little more. I started taking the spikes out on the couch but decided to do it on the stairs outside so Icould shake the dirt out. Today max and i ran about 3.15 miles, it was pretty fun. All i have been doing all day is run and sit around the house because my parents are at work and we have to have our fall break the week after everyone else has theirs.
