Track and Field Blogs - Chaz [Charlie Hammon]

Today I had a pretty good day all up until recess. Our teachers didn't let us go to the playground and soccer/football field so we went on the parking lot (we call it black top) well anyway, we normally play keep away with the 8th graders when we go on the black top. It is normally fun but not today for me. What happened was this kid in the 8th grade fumbled the football like right in front of me, so I decided to go pick it up, bad idea. Whenever 7th graders get the ball we get beat up and the teachers really don't care. Well I just picked the ball up and within a second I got pushed into someone's knee, where my femur hit their knee. I then fell over from the huge pain. When I got up I could hardly walk. It felt terrible (still does). I asked my teacher if I could go get ice so she let me. The ice didn't really help. So now I am here and in pain whenever I move my leg and apparently I bruised my bone, it isn't fun. Well hopefully something good will happen the rest of the day.
