This weekend was by far the best of weekends for the guys and girls teams.

Our guys tied Perry High School for 1st place and then lost by a mere 3 places or 6 seconds on a tie breaker with our 6th man. It just goes to show you how each and every place can count. The team was led by Tyler Tomazic, but it took awesome performances by Landon Davis and Greg Gannon to tie Perry. It was the true epitome of teamwork by the guys as they also reduced their separation 1 to 5 to just over 1 minute. It's a performance like this that can make the difference between staying home or moving on at Districts and beyond.

Our ladies were also up to the task with a 1st place finish over a number of state ranked Div. II teams. The team was again led by Emily Tomei, but Maria Arnone had her best performance of the year only separating herself from Emily by 11 seconds. The girls kept that pack mentally with only 44 seconds separating 1st to 5th.

Coach Dan and I decided that it would be best served if the team took off the last week before districts ending on a great note and having confidence that the team is now ready to prepare for districts and beyond.

The coming weekend we will be having a relay race amongst the team as well as a bit of partying with bowling and pizza. Nothing like a good old Irish party.
