Happy New Year to y'all and welcome to my blog. I am pumped to be blogging on Flotrack.

I saw the New Year in with a very low key party with my husband, my bro, a mate, Dell, my partner in crime, Bronwyn Thompson (long jumper extraordinaire), her husband Jase, Mr Flotrack himself... Mark Floreani and his buddy from Texas, Geoff.

It was a bloody hot evening (41 degrees celcius) so we spent the evening in
my neighbour's pool. We treated our overseas visitors to a typical Aussie bbq. We cooked up some big fat kangaroo steaks for them which they washed down with the most feral Australian beer we could find - VB. It is typically a "bogan" beer (a bogan being a member of society that is a combination of what the yanks call, "red necks" or "trailer park trash").

I bounced out of bed this morning, excited about my first run of the year. Mark had promised he would run with me. After only being awake for 2 minutes and consuming a few frothies the previous evening, Mark shone.

I have now been back in training for nearly 2 weeks after resting a dodgy hamstring. Can't wait to crank up the training. I am heading to Tallahassee for a training camp in February with my new training group (Ray Treacy). Will keep you posted.

See ya!

correction jamo. "fat" in "fat kangaroo steaks" should be spelled as "phat". looking forward to reading more of your blog!
