Keeping It Sassy In Tallahassee

So I travel from Melbourne, Australia all the way to Tallahassee, Florida for a training camp with my group and I am given the walk in cupboard as my bedroom! I am the oldest here by a mile by the young kids these days just don't have respect. In all seriousness, it is very intimate, I don't have to walk far, if anywhere, to get dressed and it will prepare me for the accomodation at the Beijing Olympic Village (see picture below).

Things have really picked up for me since my last blog back in January. I have 8 weeks of training now under my belt and am feeling fit again. I have come to Tallahassee to join my group's warm weather training camp for a month. I am loving training with the group down here which resembles the United Nations - Roisin McGettigan & Mary Cullen (IRELAND), Amy Mortimer, Amy Rudolph & Molly Huddle (USA), Kim Smith (NZ) and my faithful training partner from Australia, Rowey.

Even though english is the first language for all of us here, I find that the Americans can't understand much that us Aussies say and I only understand every third word the Irish say. We get by though and help each other when something is lost in translation.

From here I head back to Australia for 6 weeks and will then begin my world tour which will see me race in the States, Europe and Beijing. I haven't been included in the Aussie team for Beijing as I was not ready to run the trial which was held a few weeks ago. I will have to prove to my federation that I am up to scratch by June 23. So head down, bum up for now and I will blog again soon.
