Downtown Osaka

Yesterday morning I woke up early again for a really easy 6 miles. I swear it was a lot more comfortable weather but then some people think we're just getting used to it. I ended up exploring a little bit on my run and found myself in some really packed apartment-like neighborhoods. I was there around 7am so the streets between the houses were packed with young kids walking to school (I'm assuming). They all had identical Nike soccer bags, which was kind of intersting, instead of backpacks. They also were dressed to a t. All of the cute little girls had their hair done and the boys looked like they were ready for church haha. Very impressive.

We spent the rest of the day it seemed moving hotels and getting credentials. Not very exciting. We're now in downtown Osaka. Not exactly sure how the running is going to happen here, but people will figure it out. I'm actually on my way out the door to a workout on the track. I'll give some updates on that when I'm back. Also, there is a really tall building here in downtown (less than a mile away) where you can pay a little bit to go to the top and see all of Osaka. Dathan, Heather, and I went there last night right at dusk. It was so beautiful and relaxing. A fun little outing that required very little effort. I know I keep saying this but... I'll get pictures up to show you later :).

Thanks to everyone who has dropped me a line in the last few days. I miss you all and it warms my heart to know that you're thinking of me and reading this! Dad- thanks for the snacks you packed me, I'm almost out :)

JENNY!

MAN! Japan?! Serious?! Don't you miss the hot humid summers of Florida? (I don't)

It's awesome to hear your doing good and enjoying the visit. Keep the legs healthy and I'm anxious to keep up with your running.
