It’s been a while since I’ve written a blog, let alone race. The past year I’ve been working at various jobs, be it a sports specific/personal trainer (Performance Training Inc.), working at a The Health Shoppe (Knoxville), Knoxville Track Club (youth), and training some high school runners. I recently accepted as a job as an assistant track coach at South Carolina State University. I’m coaching hurdles through XC here, men and women. Update: Where I am and Personal

I will not be racing this year, due to various reasons. One, I need to let my body and some injuries heal. I’ve been racing since I was 11; I’m 30 so things ache a bit much. I do need to get a bone spur removed that I’ve had for a few years. It’s at the end of my tibia and digs into my talus whenever I walk or run. Resulting in me not having full flexion in my left ankle and not being able to push off equally and of course pain. So it affects my left knee, left… more »

Its been a while....

but here i am. all is well. last time i wrote was in the fall. i suppose a bit has changed. no more sub-teaching, kids kept gettin me sick and ran close to practice time. so in jan or feb, i became a baker at "brueggers bagels." i recently stopped workin there cuz its time to just train only. had to do what i had to do tho. being at work at 5:15am isn't that attractive either. either way im done with that.

hello people, hope all is well. first i want to start off sending my condolences to Shay family. I got to know Ryan for a short period over the past two summers in Leuven, Belgium. A group of us stayed in there in 2006 and that is when I first met Ryan and Alicia. I must say they were stuck at the hip in a very loving way. Hello all! i had a pretty good week and a GREAT weekend

first off i would like to thank my Dad (Brett Lewis) and his classmates - West Point Class of 1977- for all their support. i really appreciate it. GO ARMY! and of course... BEAT NAVY! my pops always has his army hat on. i think he showers with it on. jk

Back on the grind so that i can shine

hello to anyone who is reading this. first blog of the year, and ill try to keep people updated with things goin on with me, on the track and off... but on the track is the main thing;)

my last race was in uden, the netherlands... hmm around aug 4th or 5th. i took a few weeks off and got back to training. thankfully this year i didn't have any main injuries when the season ended. just the basic aching on the body and feet of most seasoned runners.
