Fun Times!

Hello all! i had a pretty good week and a GREAT weekend

first off i would like to thank my Dad (Brett Lewis) and his classmates - West Point Class of 1977- for all their support. i really appreciate it. GO ARMY! and of course... BEAT NAVY! my pops always has his army hat on. i think he showers with it on. jk

the week started off with me teaching 4th graders, it was fun and tiring. the end of the day they said i was mean, but wanted me to come back the next day. hmm i was doing something right. in their journal for the end of the day a lot of them said they learned their lessons, learned how to follow directions, and that mr. harris is mean... they had fun tho. the prob is that, its interfering with my morning runs and lifting. hmm again

training from the week went fine, i was tired all week, things kind of got to me. saturday morning i ran in " The Race for the Cure" here in knoxville. The team helps out every year high-fiving the runners and survivors of cancer. it affected the team a little more this year as someone close to our track family has been diagnosed with cancer. my grandmother had cancer a few years ago and passed away. i figured,, i should run in the race,, it was a 5k. i was originally suppose to do a 3mile tempo afterwards anyhow, so i decided to do it then, because i had to get ready for a wedding.
i won the race, it came down to Andy Baksa, a former Vol and myself. we were suppose to finish together, then i saw coach watts near the finish and he was wavin us in, then track mode kicked in,, sooooo i took off sprinting. i didnt mean to, but the adrenaline bubbled up, the knees popped up and there i went. sorry andy. lol.
it was for a good cause and i wanted to show my support.

annnnd after that was the wedding. my good friend/sister hazel clark and wenston riley got married here in knoxville. first time for me wearing a tux ;)i was a groomsman. the wedding was VERY NICE. very sweet and done right, there were a tears everywhere. my right eye got a lil misty, but i have strong eyelids. but yeah, it was lovely. the clark family and the riley families are very happy for those two. two very cool and caring people. the reception was great we had A LOT of fun. the setup overlooked knoxville and the river, it was done nice. im happy for hazel and wenston ;)
maybe in 25years when and if i get married it will be as nice.

i was suppose to have been a groomsman in my ace's wedding in early august (adrian wheatley- coach at austin peay, former teammate at UT) but my flight kept gettin canceled from europe, so i missed it. that truly hurt me pretty bad not being there for my boy.

the following day(sunday) started off with an hour run. fun

FYI segment on me:
there are two ways of saying my name
"Jebree" and/or "Jebray"
my mom says it the 1st way and my pops says it the 2nd way
it it still spelled the same .. Jebreh. just dont say "jebruh" more than once, its a good way to get an evil look from me.

you all take care- stay tuned and back to another week of base training. :)
