In the Beginning....

I decided that I want to start keeping a little bit of a blog about things that Ive kind of picked up through training, racing, and anything else revolving around running. On of the things I wanted to start off with while Im taking some time off before starting up again for XC is the attitude I think is important in order to be successful. Ive read Ryan's (Sheridan) interview (http://www.flotrack.org/articles/view/1193-ryan-sheridan-kwik-e) a?few times now and I think the one thing that really strikes me as impressive is how he just really enjoys running. I think thats something you can see just by talking to him, but this article really shows how much he doesnt worry about times, who hes racing or what other people are doing, he just loves running. Thats something I think everyone can take a lesson from, people get to caught up in all of the above and forget about the reason we do what we do, because we simply love it. So looking into the next season thats what I want to try and do first and foremost, simply enjoy running and not worry about the little distractions.

"Some people get upset if they have shit races and some people get upset if their training isn't going well, but I have those moments where I'm really grateful to be able to run...Sometimes I don't worry about the competition aspect of it...just being able to do it."
