On Tuesday we came back from Vermont after almost 5 weeks of good solid training. It was perfect weather for the most part for running, it usually never got about 70-75 degrees. I think maybe I ran only a total 20 miles if that on pavement the entire time were there, the rest was either on dirt roads or trails so I got in a lot of good softer surface training. The last three weeks we were there I was running about 95 miles a week, which was good to do with other people instead of having to do it alone.

Besides running, we watched quite a bit of TV but we also got out during the day, we went golfing a few times, but our main outdoor activity was these beach volleyball courts we found at a place called Sitzmark. It was cool because we could play for free and they had a pool we could go in for free. It was also good to get to know Ryan, Jared and Steve a lot better, and just hang out. We ate pretty well because Brother Bob cooked for us every night that he was there and made sure we were eating well. All in all it was a good month of training to get ready for the season.

This week I just finished my fourth week of 95 so next week will be my down week before we head to camp, which is in a new location this year and should be fun. Its more like an actual camp than New Paltz with actual cabins and a lake. It should be good for getting to know everyone on the team and get the new guys to get to know everyone and visa versa.

On an unrelated note to training, on my run today I realized how much I hate running by people in wheelchairs. I guess I feel bad for them because of their condition while Im healthy and I feel as if they might think Im showing off or something, which Im obviously not. A little strange I know, but thats just how I feel.
