This past weekend we just got back from our training camp in a new location for the first time since Ive been here. We ended up going to a place called Baker Camp near Harriman State Park. It was a nice change because previously we just stayed in a hotel and everyone was kind of secluded in their own rooms, where as here we were in two cabins and could move around as we wanted. Also there was much more to do between runs like swin in the lake, play volleyball, or just hang out outside. The only problems were that there was no A/C and it was pretty hot while we there and that the trails were not what we thought they would be. Becuase of the latter I dont think we will be going back to Baker Camp again, although I hope we are able to find something similar to this with better trails.

Now that we're back classes have started and I'm just getting back into the rythm of having to add that element into my training where I have to deal with doing school work along with running. Also, we've started working out twice a week now so I'm finding myself more physically tired, but nothing that isnt to be expected.

The team seems to be getting along really well, mostly because I think there is less of an age desparity and that at camp everyone was able to spend more time together. Looking at our team, I think this is the most amount of foriegn athletes we've had on our team (men and women) since I've been here, or maybe even ever. Personally I think thats awesome, not only do we have some of the best American athletes, but also some of the best foriegn athletes, and training with them is only going to make us better. Isn't that what its all about? Sometimes I don't understand why people critisize us for that, but I try not to worry about that.

On a side note, we recently had our new locker room made available to us, and its awesome, looks like Iona finally did something right.
