Hopefully Shooter McGavin's not there getting it on with your Grandma, your girlfriend, and a midget.

So this should be my second blog post, but I made the mistake of trying to upload a picture with the first one. I clicked 'post blog entry' and was greeted with a screen filled with internet gibberish. Translation: "The internet has deemed your blog not worthy of posting and has destroyed any remnant of it. Thank you, come again."

Now, why did this happen? Maybe Flotrack has a profanity filter- I didn't think dropping a few (37 to be exact) f-bombs was a crime. Maybe the picture was found to be inappropriate- sure it was a nude shot, but it was very tastefully done. Maybe it was the y2k bug finally making its move. We'll probably never know, but I'm going to blame Al Qaeda. Mostly because there isn't a 'u' after the Q in their name- what kind of a world do we live in where Q isn't followed directly by a u? Anarchy.

Anyway, on to the running stuff. I've been at ZAP for a little over 4 years now, and it's been the greatest opportunity of my running career. Zika and Pete have created the perfect environment to train, and their results speak for themselves. Over the years I've been here, Pete has convinced me of my lack of basic speed, and we logically moved to the marathon. I qualified for the Olympic Trials last November in New York, so now all my training is focused on November 3rd. I'm pretty realistic about my chances of making the team. I would put them between slim and none, but I'll be focusing on the slim part and just go for it when race day arrives.

I'll try to keep my training log updated on this site, so check it out if you're curious. And feel free to send questions- about training or whatever comes to mind.

Joey D, I saw the ZAP fitness video the other day (your form hasn't changed a bit). Good luck in the trials buddy and let me know when you're headed back to Portland for a run.
