The season has started! I hope all is excited and tuned in. Let's focus on having fun and keeping it simple: The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky; what you see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars." "What that tell you?" asked Tonto. The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of galaxies. Time wise, it appears… more »

Out of the night that covers me, Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be For my unconquerable soul.In the fell clutch of Circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud.Under the bludgeonings of Chance My head is bloody, but unbowed.Beyond this place of wrath and tears Looms but the Horror of the shade,And yet the menace of the years Finds, and shall find me, unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, How charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul. The meaning of committment as a discipline of the spirit must take into account the mind and spirit cannot be seperated from the body in any absolute sense. It has been wisely said that the time and the place of man's life on earth is the time and the place of his body, but the meaning of his life is as significant and eternal as he wills to make it. Committment means that it is possible for a man to yield the nerve center of his consent to a purpose or cause, a movement or an ideal, which may be… more »

We can say the SH@T hit the fan. With all the names and people named in Major League Baseball this is a tough time for certain sports. Just remember, There is no crying in baseball. Yet, it must be known that the vast majority of athletes in all sports are clean. It was said that this is a bad day for sports and baseball, but I beg to differ. This is a bad day for the guys who were cheating and got caught. It's a bad day for the guys who have been cheating and did not get caught because… more »

Well, a lot has happened since my last post. My wife and I have a newborn. His name is Khadevis ZION Robinson. He is amazing but stubborn as heck. I have been lucky that my wife is very particular so she is willing to do almost everything. All I have to do is work, run, cook, clean, go shopping, wash clothes, pay the bills, run errands, follow her instructions and follow his instructions. Besides that, it is all smooth sailing. I LOVE IT. As far as training is concerned, things are going well. I was actually injured all of last… more »

Well, it's been a while since my last post. I cut my post Osaka European tour short because I was tired of dealing with the injuries, which made me tired of racing. I have been home for a while and enjoying my time off. Now, I am focusing all of my energy on my YOUTH TRACK AND RUNNING CLUB. Please feel free to go by the blog and check it out. It is for the kids and the kids help me realize how lucky I have it.

Well, I had my first round a couple of days ago. It did not go as well as I hoped but I made it through the first round into the semis with a 1:45. I felt alright before the race, but it really does not matter how you feel. After the race, I felt terrible but I thought it was due to dehydration and or just getting back into running mode. I cooled down and started my recovery process, feeling confident that I would feel much better. So the next day I felt that I should continue to do what… more »

I have done my last workout. It went well. I have just been getting a lot of treatment for my body. Trying to make sure everything is good and ready. Since we are one of the last events, we have to wait around until it's time for us to run. It is cool on one hand because we are able to fix or work on any last little nicks, nacks, or injuries we may have, but it is a bit tough because we have to wait around while everyone else is in competition mode. The key is to not use… more »

Well, I am in Osaka now. I have been here 3 days and I have done 2 good workouts and one easy day. My first workout day was just a blow out for my legs. I did a couple of 150's and some 200's on 24. My easy day was a long run about 45 minutes easy. Then today I did a little tougher and faster workout. It was so hot when I did it. I have tried to keep up with my core strength so I do some core stuff either in the morning or evening. My workout went… more »

Well, Just finished my last workout at home before I leave for Japan. It went well. I have been doing a lot of strength work. A lot of repeat 600's, 800's, and stuff like that. Usually I do a lot of speed stuff, and I have done some but mostly rhythm, relax, strength stuff just to stay fresh and strong. It is always a challenge to take such a long break between races because you always train so hard and try to time everything perfectly. I am starting to think it just comes down to focus. It has to come… more »

Getting Ready

Well here it is a couple of weeks before the start of the worlds. I have had a pretty decent season this year. My races have been all right. Some just like I expected and some totally unexpected, but, that is life isn't it. Since coming back from Europe, I have been training, training, and training. The key is to find a balance. That is what I am trying to do because if I do not I will be consumed with my preparation for worlds. It is good to be back and see my wife. Not to mention, I live… more »
