Ordinary Moments

Well, Just finished my last workout at home before I leave for Japan. It went well. I have been doing a lot of strength work. A lot of repeat 600's, 800's, and stuff like that. Usually I do a lot of speed stuff, and I have done some but mostly rhythm, relax, strength stuff just to stay fresh and strong. It is always a challenge to take such a long break between races because you always train so hard and try to time everything perfectly. I am starting to think it just comes down to focus. It has to come down to focus and just running a great race on that day, and maybe a bit of luck ( I do not believe in luck too much because you still have to be prepared and at the right place at the right time, depending on your heats and the race tempo/strategy)because at this part of the game everyone is in shape, everyone is good, and everyone has run well at some point ths year. So as they say, all the water is in the well. It's time to travel to Japan, get adjusted, get treatment, sharpen up, relax, and go out there and give it your best (which means make sure we do not miss the opportunity to enjoy it and have fun) My flight leaves early in the morning, so I will get a massage this evening, go to a Lamaze class with my pregnant wife, and then leave LAX at around 1:30 am. I am looking foward to getting to Japan (I fly through Hong Kong). I guess the key now is just to stay relaxed, confident, and enjoy every moment. That is the real challenge. So I guess I have to dare myself. I dare myself to stay relaxed, confident, and enjoy every moment no matter what!! Let's see how I can do. GOD is good all the time I must remember. So too all the fellow bloggers and blog readers-- Remember, "THERE ARE NO ORDINARY MOMENTS".
