If you've been reading the other blogs, you've basically heard everything from Josh, Leo, and Jenny but I wanted to throw a blog up as well while I'm here in Dalian! It really has been great here! We've had a few days where it's been pretty hazy, but we've also had some very clear and beautiful days. It's been pretty hot and humid but not as bad as I thought it was going to be, so that's been a nice surprise! The resort place that we're staying in is nice, the food is good, and I've adjusted to the time… more »

Hey everyone! Well, it's finally starting to sink in that I'm going to Beijing! I had kind of a reminder this morning that yes, workouts do tend to hurt. I think I was running on adrenaline all last week after making the team and now my body is finally adjusting! I'll be leaving on July 29 and I'm getting excited to get over there. I can't believe I've already been home for over a week . . . time flies! I'm fortunate to have some family going over to watch me: my husband, Mark, his mom, my parents, and my… more »

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted, but things are going well! I can't believe it's May already! The trials are just around the corner and I can hardly wait--it's so exciting! The training has been good and I'm looking forward to my race at the Payton Jordan Invitational this coming Sunday. I'll be racing the steeplechase again and I'm looking for a big improvement from my steeple opener at Mt. Sac a few weeks ago. I've been substituting at a few of the high schools here in the Ogden area which has been a lot of… more »

Merry Christmas in about a week! It's been a great winter so far, pretty cold, but good! It does make running a little more challenging but the training has been going well and I do enjoy the season changes we get to experience in Utah. Anyway, my Father-in-Law used to write short stories for a local newspaper in my hometown. He ran for many years of his life and still holds some of the course records for his age-group in some of the road races around Utah. I wanted to share one of his many short stories with you. I… more »

So I saw Mark this past weekend in Indiana for the XC National Championships and he gave me a pretty hard time about not writing for so long! My student teaching, training, and helping coach has given me a legitimate excuse for my lack of spare time (but I still feel bad that it's been a while!) and I'm
a l m o s t done! so close!! I'll graduate on December 14 and I can hardly wait. My husband has been teasing me about counting down the days while I'm teaching. He thinks that students should be… more »

Hee hee hee, I did it! I successfully conned Mark into letting me blog!! He thinks he asked me to do it, but really it was total play on words. Anyway, here's what's been goin' on with me!
First off, the World Championships were awesome! I absolutely loved being there! I had so much fun and it was a blast to room with Anna, she's great! And yes, Josh and I took a fire extinguisher with us to church when Anna joined us. After Worlds I took 2 weeks off and now I'm getting back into it again.… more »
