May Already?!

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I last posted, but things are going well! I can't believe it's May already! The trials are just around the corner and I can hardly wait--it's so exciting! The training has been good and I'm looking forward to my race at the Payton Jordan Invitational this coming Sunday. I'll be racing the steeplechase again and I'm looking for a big improvement from my steeple opener at Mt. Sac a few weeks ago. I've been substituting at a few of the high schools here in the Ogden area which has been a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to getting into more of teaching routine next fall as I'll most likely be either an adjunct teacher at Weber State or a part-time high school math/p.e. teacher. My husband, Mark, is still busy with work and school. He'll hopefully be finishing up his degree in the next few years. He's been an amazing supporter in everything I do and has slowed down his education process a little bit because he hasn't been able to take classes full-time while working over 40 hours a week. He's getting there though and I'm so proud of him!

It's been so fun to be a part of the post-collegiate/elite athlete running world this year! Definitely a change from the collegiate world. It's so nice to be able to pick the races you want to run fast at and not worry about running fast at conference, regionals, then nationals. But it was definitely an experience I would never give up! And now I get to enjoy the benefits of being past the college scene! Anyway, I hope this post finds everyone happy and healthy as much as possible!!

Lindsey

What makes this site great is that we all can be part of it. Lets exercise that and be part of the answer and not the problem. Lets Let USA Swimming figure out where they lie.

if they only could see that floswimming could be a more responsible ally and carry more integrity for the sport and the organization than some detached media company with $$$ in their eyes.
she came at you with handbags at ten paces and good on you for swinging back with twenty paces!!

Absolutely incredible. USA Swimming is soo unreal it is not even funny--they complain about swimming not being popular outside of the olympics. But they do every thing possible to benefit their national teamers and control every aspect of the sport. It is disgusting and it makes me sick. Garrett keep on keeping on. We will find a way through this!!!
