The New Flotrack.... Bugs?

Mark From Flotrack | Profile
June 4, 2008

We have had a ton of feedback for the redesign and even though we wished everyone would love it and adapt to it right away we knew this was prob not going to happen bc we were kind of throwing it out there so people could tell us what they wanted and they could help us find the bugs. If we were Microsoft the site would not have gone up and it prob would not go live for another 6-12 months. I guess one or two of us have a lil ADD and we did not have the patince for it. On top of that we can put all this time into the redesign and make it perfect or what we think is perfect and then we find out you guys don't want this or need that. My theory has always been to t it out there and get feedback so we can adjust.

You guys and gals have found a lot of bugs that we wish were not there, but that's not the case, but we are happy that you have found them. We created for people to post the bugs they found and their suggestions. If you have not already been there and have some bugs check them out here on our BUG PAGE

Here are some of the BUGs that we are working on.

1. Some people's miles are gone off their shoes. (if this is you and you have specific shoe you knew you had miles on please let us know. It will help us fix the bug)

2. Some people have some info missing or changed.

3. Running log is bugging in firefox. Anyone have problems on other browsers? ie? safari?

4. When you logon to your profile your running log is hard to find. THis is huge and we are working to make this more front and center.

5. Blogs is not on your profile. People want it back right?

We have more on the white board here at HQ but these are ones that we are working on right now.

Don't forget about our coders fav page....not really the BUG PAGE

Thanks for everyone's help,

Mark Flo

I just found out that this video I uploaded a while back isn't anywhere else on the site except for my home page. I've set it to public and I still can't find it.

2 things that aren't neccessarily bugs but I think may throw people off. Maybe i've just got a screw loose which is fine but if anyone is in agreement i'd like to know. Either way it has no effect on my flotrack usage and I continue to maintain it is "The greatest running log in the universe" rock on.
1. Whenever you log cross training it comes up as a biker icon on your month training view. I know there are many swim teams on here that may not be huge fans of that.
2. The week view. I like how it has been fixed to horizontal layout once again. Did people not like when it displayed all their week's workouts right there, instead of having to click into the individual blogs?

Keep up the good work floreani and co.

Not sure if this is possible or not, but I can't move anything to the right side of my profile page. I noticed I can move apps. up and down but not to the right hand column so I have one long profile with everything on the left. Not a big deal just thought it would be nice.

Two things... Whenever I get on my flotrackr page by clicking on it. It says I have a message when I have already read that message. The other thing is it won't allow me to Delete Video Albums or Video Sub-Albums.. Thanks guys you are doing a great job. Love the new Lay out

Mark, when I enter my time and distance, it is calculating my pace incorrectly. I did and easy 2.5 miles in 17:30. The pace is 7:00. Flotrackr says it was 6:47 pace. Check the code for calculating it. Maybe it is an issue when I put in the decimal.

My Asics Gel Nimbus 9 mileage got erased. I'm pretty sure my Mizuno Rider 10s also got erased but I haven't checked that.

Entering workouts into my log is now working.
When I try to see a friend's log and click on their name, the program takes me to my log NOT to my friend's log.

+1 on the weird 'you were tagged in a photo' message'...Also, I signed up over the weekend, and when I go to update my personal info, it won't save.

The notification section is telling me about people I have never heard of, tagging other people I have never heard of. It is also saying that random people from other states are tagging me in pictures. When i go to the pictures I'm not in the picture and I'm not tagged.

When i try to submit my log for the day, it doesn't seem to register it. It just goes to a blank page and does not add the day to the log.

Can you make this version optional for now and just switch back to the older one?

The Flotrack homepage seems fine. And it's a nice design. But as it has been said, the running log is very quirky. A little harder to use, too.

I agree that the profile is hard to find, and that the team page is also hard to find.
it would be handy to have in the bottom part of he window by the Flotrack box.

like some others my shoe miles are missing. Also some-but not all- team members are missing. Actually I can see them listed, but if I click on name or picture I get a message "user not found". I can't communicate with them if they are missing! This is a BIG problem. Also at least one message is missing. Maybe because member that sent it is "not found"? I appreciate the effort to improve the program. This is a big change, will take some getting used to.
