Along the first mile of the Kent trail are a profusion of bright red flowers. I have never seen as many as this year and July 4th is the first day I've seen them. If you hike/run this trail, you can't miss them, although if running, this is a challenge for ankles & falls. The azaleas are also beginning to bloom along the creekbeds.
