I Just Want to Blog

Greeting readers, thanks to minimal prodding by Allen "The Pleasure Machine" Trevino, I've decided to enter the blogosphere. As many of you know, I am no longer living in San Antonio- although Jordan is apparently unaware of this fact. Due to these circumstances, I'm in the unique position to blog from the perspective of an honest-to-goodness New Yorker.

That being said (and coupled with my desire to offer a newer, more exciting blog than Allen's), my format will be a bit more abstract. I'm going to present to you, gentle readers, my thoughts and musings on various on-goings from big cittay livin', as well as various stories and stuff.

  • First order of business/clarification: the title of this blog entry is a reference to Sugar Ray's smash hit, "Fly." I've heard about the team's newfound love/mocking of Creed, and I absolutely adore it. So why limit ourselves to only referencing and quoting one mediocre late '90s band?

  • Second thing. This is more pertaining to the overall feel of my blog, but if you haven't noticed, a very sexy feature has been included, that Allen can only salivate and masturbate to. I have hyperlinks in my blog, that I feel enhance the blogging pleasure. Generally speaking, they're worth a click.

  • This song was brought to my attention some weeks ago. I belive it is a '90s rap pseudo-hit, but I have come to love it, as I know you will too! It is called "Luchini" and it is by Camp Lo. Now I can only assume that these guys are creative geniouses, and that, thanks to this phenomenal blend, they have to swat away women with two-by-fours. So without further adeu... here it is: Camp Lo- Luchini. I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as my roommate and I have, dear friends.

  • Final order of business for tonight. I'll tell you about my roommate Ben. Here are some of his vital stats:
  1. Height: 5'10"
  2. Hometown: Berryville, VA
  3. PRs: mile 4:15, 2 mile 9:13
  4. He listends to bluegrass frequently
  5. He has a scooter, and tears this city a new one as he scoots about
  6. He has a hot girlfriend named Kylie
  7. He has 3 brothers and 1 sister
  8. His favorite food is dark chocolate
  9. His favorite candy is dark chocolate
  10. His favorite chocolate is dark chocolate
  11. His favorite color is electric blue, although it took him minutes to respond
  12. His favorite post-meal breath freshener is dark chocolate
  13. He sleeps with an eye-mask and earplugs, like a princess.

Well that about wraps it up friends. Next edition I will describe more people on the team who you will never likely meet, and also talk about food options here. If you have any comments or suggestions, or more ideally, questions, please post them, so I don't have to write about what I just mentioned. Tell me what to write about it and I'll write about it in great detail, DOWN TO THE NITTY GRITTY!

May you all have a great Monday!

Love always,

Paul R. Snyder

3. PR's in cross country are pretty meaningless, but mine is like 26:12 or something for 8k. It was 37 degrees and raining, so needless to say the times were slow. Anyway, I've come to realize that all Texas XC courses are substantially faster than courses are up North. There are actual hills up here, and races in muddy conditions are the norm. I'm not happy with my current PR by any means, but I feel like it would equate to 25:0X on that same course in ideal conditions. (The overall trend was that times were about a minute slower than on the same course the previous year, from the winner, all the way down to last place.)

What's your middle name Paul? And that was very clever about Allen masturbating to the hyperlinks. Go a chuckle out of me. What is your PR for this season anyway? By the way, Regionals was a
