New Faces in New Places

Now that we are posting our blogs on Flotrackr, I will be writing to a bigger audience then just my mom, girlfriend, and teammates. On our blogs on the Brooks website they would normally just be smack talk between teammates in blog form. For example one month was how I would dominate Kyle O'Brien at the classic American Gladiators, this was before the new show had come on (but I would still dominate him at that as well). He would try to refute this in his next blog but his logic would be faulty and just wrong. Now that we are writing to a bigger audience I am still going to keep the same theme.

Lately I have been really into Guitar Hero 3 that came out. And just for the record I am a much better Guitar Hero player then Kyle. Now it is just official since it is now posted on the internet and everything you read there is true, so it must be true. If you have ever seen the South Park episode where they play Guitar Hero, I would rate Kyle just one step above Stan's dad.

Now Kyle can play the real guitar about a thousand times better then me in real life but as you can see no one really cares about that. Kyle also plays in his tidy whiteys in the middle of the night as well.

Onto a more running related topic we do have some new faces that have recently joined the team. C. Fred Joslyn, Allen Wagner, and Paul Jellema. Some much welcomed additions because before Paul came I was the only one on the team who has not run a marathon and with the track trials coming up it will be a good training partner.

I'll finish with a game called name that mustache.

I was going to lament the lost irony of the South Park clip and make parallels to running...something like 'why not just skip the training and invent a 'Trackstar hero' game to while away the hours. Then I remembered the strange appeal of "Decathalon" the early 80's computer game.
