Track and Field Blogs - Ryan Sheehan
« older | newer »
I always feel bad every month as I begin to write a blog because I read all the other blogs and there is normally something insightful or something about running. Then some one clicks on the blog section of the website where my blog happens to be at the top and start reading useless ramblings and find a picture of a mustache at the end. This month is no exception, although I am working on something pretty good for my blog and helping Reneau out for his upcoming blog.
I just wanted to say how impressed I was with the Brooks-Hanson women in Boston as well as a solid performance from Nick Arciniaga. You have to stick your neck out there to make an Olympic team and there were some that definitely did just that. No women made the team but they all walked away with PR's and I'm sure an experience that they won't forget. I am sure they will be writing about it in their upcoming blogs. And Nick coming off a rough training block then finishing 10th overall, being the top American, and a PR at Boston is quite the accomplishment.
As far as running goes for myself I am gearing up for track running the 5k at the Gina Relays at Hillsdale College and the 10k at Stanford.
CD of the Month: Black Keys "Attack and Release"
Book of the Month: Trinity by Leon Uris for the 3rd time
Last month's mustache was pretty weak and I admit I am running out of steam on this game. I won't put the whole picture that goes along with that stache up here but it was Brian Sell. Let's see if this month is any better, I included some more features to help.
Nothing really insightfull
