To drink or not to drink...

Let me start this off by saying that I'm 23 years old. I've been putting in "high mileage", for me, for the past three months now, with weeks ranging from 75-110+. Well, this week is no different, with me being at 60 miles in five days, I feel I'll easily be over 80 in singles.

Well, although I'm only 23, this weekend I have to be a best man in my best friend's wedding. I'm pretty freaked out that I'm already "a best man" at such a young age. The question is...although my training has been going so well, should I get drunk and miss a Sunday morning long run as the wedding will go late into Saturday night? I think I've been recruited to do by the non-competitive running groom. I don't think I have a choice. I'm not a weak-minded person who gets caught up in peer pressure, but I feel like with having all of my friends coming back the area to enjoy this festival. I'm going to have to do it, folks.

What do you think? Is anyone reading this?

Take a little time to yourself. Obviously you have put in a ton of miles in so one day is not going to kill it might even rejuvenate the legs. Go out and have some fun.
