before i get this started, everyone needs to open up a new tab and go to www.jhern.com thanks!

Olympic Village- ok, it’s been a busy week over here in Beijing. i haven’t really even had a good chance to get some good videos done. but the good news is that training is going great! on the track, we’re just doing some things to sharpen up my timing; in the field, we’re fine tuning some cues to make sure my coach and i are on the same page. there will be about 29 rows of seats, 9 lanes of track, and who knows how many officials in between mario and i when i compete. so the goal for us is get some hand signals and cues down pat, so that we see eye to eye come game time.

other than training twice a day, i’ve been getting a lot of sleep. the beds here at the village are pretty comfortable compared to the ones in Dalian.

my roommate andra manson returned today, so it’ll be nice to have someone around in the room when i have time to kill- as apposed to just sitting around playing solitare on my computer.

i will try to get myself tickets to see my teammates when track and field kicks off the 15th, but who knows? they are a pretty hard ticket to come by these olympics. i really would love to see the evening session of the 15th and 17th. LEO!!! LEO!!! LEO!!! he’s been running some really good workouts and i’m super excited to see what he’s going to do to these kids!

lastly, thanks to everyone out there showing their support. it makes being over here so much easier! it’s just like home, except for when i’m sleeping, you’re at work, and when i’m working out, you’re sleeping!

love you guys! go red, white, and blue!!!

Trey,

Just pray, pray, pray for energy and help from Jesus & God. Jesus/God is an inexhaustible source of energy and peace. So, let Jesus & God guide you and be your energy source in all ten events, just like they assisted Melaine Walker yesterday. Jesus and God can definitely guide you to 10 PR's in the decathelon if necessary. That would simply be "small change" for Jesus. Melaine Walker, the former lady Longhorn track star, who just won the Gold medal for Jamaica in the womens 400 meter hurdles is a perfect example of this. I know her connection with God and Jesus is very, very strong. I spoke to her at the NCAA Regionals at Austin and knew she had a strong connection to God. After she won the NCAA final 400 meter hurdles 2 years ago, God was in the first words coming out of her mouth. Unfortunately, they disqualified her. So, after those NCAA finals I exchanged emails with her twice and sent prayers and healing energy to her twice at her request. Her connection to God was so strong her legs pulled in the healing energy like a sponge. Yesterday God and Jesus carried Melaine to an Olympic Record and Gold medal in the women's 400 meter hurdles.
So pray, pray, pray for energy and help from Jesus & God. If God wants you to win you WILL WIN!!!

Trey,
Don't forget that the 100 meter belongs to you, Jesus, God, Righteousness, and the USA. Explode out of those blocks and stake your claim!!! Whatever thought(s) makes your energy flow strongest go with it. Check out my entry on your last BLOG, no need to repeat. Definitely pulling for you and Leo and the rest of the USA track and field team.
Bring it home!!!!!!!!!!!
