San Diego this Weekend

For weeks now I have been looking forward to this weekend. Not for the race itself but because I wanted to get out of Chico where it has been around 40 degrees and raining which in my oppinion is some of the worst weather imaginable. (I know I'm completely spoiled compared to all you Midwesterners that have to deal with 0 degrees and wind and ice). That has changed and the weather is unbelievably nice throughout the state of California including Chico.

That means I have to change my focus to the race itself. I hoping this whole time that no one would show up to Xc nats and USATF would be forced to hand me a plane ticket to Scotland but it looks like in the end I will have to earn it. I'm sure there are a lot of other people in the same boat as me. I'm in pretty good shape, but I'm far from peaking. Workouts are good but not great. I have no idea how this weekend will go but I'm going to have to hope for the best. I am looking forward to racing as I always do. The best part about races like this is that assuming I don't blow up I'm almost guarenteed to beat some big names that are blowing up.
