I apologize for the multiple posts, but I forgot to ask...
Has the USATF or independent track clubs ever thought about selling their actual jerseys, etc.? I would imagine that that could cause some problems in road races or unattached runners on the track. At the same time, other sports' fans wear their favorite team/player's jerseys all the time, and it seems to promote the enthusiasm and interest in the sport. Just a thought...
Anonymous Coward said: I think if people have problems with the announcing they should just stop visiting the site. These guys don't have to do all this work, but the thing is they had the guts to start this website, and if you don't enjoy the coverage that they bring you for FREE, then you have personality issues. Anyone can be an armchair 10K announcer, so shut up.
We are referring to the television announcers, not the Flotrack announcers. Take it easy.

Our beloved announcers also mentioned the Olympic sprint champion by name, "Usain Bloat"
the "world record" number of false starts had me (almost) wishing I was watcing baseball. I can't believe I just said that! where are we running today?
I would like to know how much the announcers were being paid to cover this meet. Nate Brannen was coming up hard on Laggat over the last 250m and they referred to him as Chris Lukezic repeatedly. I am paid nothing, yet I knew that that was Brannen. Why? Because I'm a fan of the sport, and I take pride in my hobby.
By the way, for any other major networks that cover these meets, we know that Lopez Lomong was a lost boy from Sudan who carried the torch at the '08 Olympics. It is an amazing story, so don't diminish its integrity by bashing everyone over the head with it.
I ♥ mandigos.
