Hey Ryan, I can't thank you enough for the job u did in Paris. I really appreciated the interviews you're bringing to us fans of track. It's great to see the kind of personalities that drives these top athletes...

Don't feel guilty Ryan. It's not totally your fault.

It's hard sometimes for the busy producer/cameraman/interviewer to notice that they've worked up the newbie subject into an attention-induced frenzy about being in front of the camera for the first time.
The next thing you know they're doing Ninja-Ballet-Plyos after running 25s 200's!
It is then, tragically, too late.

I road the train with Maggie and Brad Yewer (one of Maggie's agent....former Leuven 800 participant). Maggie's bag was stolen by this sketchy dude while we were in the Brussels train station, but luckily Brad spotted this guy in the act and chased him down! It was pretty crazy and was actually a good eye opener to keep a closer eye on your stuff. We got to Paris in one piece though so its all good.

Missing Maggie   July 17 at 6:04pm
We missed seeing Maggie in the race. I hope she is well.

Ryan:
You've been playing video of Maggie all week...can't you share any insight into her DNS?

No it did not! Almost stolen at the train station. Ryan reports on it in the pre meet video

After watching the Maggie show on here for the past few days, I was sold on her making the 2flat time tonite. WHAT HAPPENED to Maggie?? The atmosphere was right, the weather and the international exposure. Anna WIllard got a 1:58 with tactical running right up Maggie's alley. There has got to be a GOOOOOD explanation to her missing her race. The starter even left the lane open and the commentators were looking for her. We really missed a good one here.

Hear 1500m splits were 3:43 and 3:45. Last lap was a 59.x for Bekele

Harry X   July 17 at 3:05pm
what were the splits for the 3k?

Shawn Simon   July 17 at 2:34pm
Ryan, What happened to Maggie? She didn't run the 800. She could have gotten the qualifier if she ran like Willard. Willard 1:58!!!!! Forget the steeple!! You have a better shot at the 800 or the 1500!!!
