I was in the contest, and i think we all know that the top 20-30 shoes are the best designs, not the top three, but seeing as no one broke the rules, we can't complain. Flotrack contests are pretty fun regardless

I agree. This contest needs to be judged by someone impartial.

Clearly, this system of determining a winner is innaccurate. Everyone is voting for their own shoe becuase its their "favorite design". And it should be, becuase you were suppossed to design what would be your favorite spike. Therefore I don't see how this system is going to work.

my friend has the shoe and i have ran in them yes the spike plate on the bottom is the same but im shure they can change up some of the parts

How many of you actually have this shoe??? if you did have it, you would know which colors would have to be the same such as the spike plate on the bottom. it all has to be the same color.

Why can't the actual judges by looking these over and choose the one with the most effort and uniqueness put in to it. this system now has been corrupted

lets come together and beat this cheating foe. prove that a shoe that deserves to win ( my shoe isn't the only one ) will get the most votes instead of the crap thats winning at the moment. yea i'm voting six for my own shoe but i'm using the other votes to vote for shoes that i think deserve to win. if you all vote for my shoe it will win and this cheating guy will lose. my shoe is representation of UT and manzano, who doesn't like UT they rocked the penn relays and that was my inspiration for this shoe. i think they of all ppl deserve to have their own shoe for their accomplishments.

Haha. This contest has caused quite a commotion! I think everyone here is just getting a little carried away, and a lot of people need to relax and look at the big picture. First of all, this is supposed to be FUN! Everyone here is complaining and arguing, etc. Here are my thoughts about this competition: The contest simply states "Design your own spikes and get them made." NOWHERE does it say anything about an all-out production model. For all we know, since the spike design is for Gabe, it may just be produced in a few pairs for him. Do you really think Saucony will dish out the money to produce a crazy unique spike for their product line? I think not. If they do, I think it would be a big mistake, mostly because only a few people would end up purchasing it. Just go to any high school or college meet and tally up the spike brands you see out there. I can guarantee you that NIKE will have the highest number, probably by a lot in most cases. Why? Because their spike designs are simple, clean, fast, and light-weight. Saucony cannot expect to compete with Nike's spike designs by putting out some crazy, bold spikes; it just doesn't work that way. Saucony needs to start designing more simple, clean spikes. Until they do that, I just don't see them making any real impact on the track spike scene. Just my two cents.

okk.....first off gabe was makeing a spike for himself... and second he said he was looking for a unique one he never said his was unique...third there are many otheres in this contest that look like they can be made into spikes that are way more unique..and last everyone that is against the spike are just upset and timid about the fact that there might of been cheating dealt with that one. there is no real proof that there was or wasnt and that is y this is causing so much commotion it could or couldnt be fair. thats y i think these people i can speak for as a whole that they wish the officials of saucony and athletes as well had direct input and there input wins these votes should be a factor for them to decide

First off, if you look at Gabe Jenning's spike that HE designed, it is not the MOST UNIQUE running shoe. Secondly, none of you have hated on the fact that many posters submitted more than one shoe for the contest, why isn't that "cheating"? Finally, looks like this is driving a lot of unique voters to flotrack.org to vote for the spike, which is a POSITIVE for all of us... more visitors to flotrack means more coverage for the sport we love. Plus, technically, this is one of the only spikes that could actually be a production model, straight from Saucony's factories. I love the spike.

So what you are saying is that the designs that saucony has put out in the past are plain and boring? I think that staying along the lines of previous saucony designs is a good thing. I mean obviously the made Saucony a very successful company, did they not? Last time I checked not all track athletes are Michael Johnson and wear bright gold shoes. Do you know why? Because they are humble. That design is humble, and yet as simple as it is, it is new. If your only point is that its boring, that is your opinion. Congratulations. The fact remains that the popularity contest is like economics. In capitalism, you choose what you want to buy, officials don't choose what shoes you are going to wear do they? No, and do you know why? Because the opinions of consumers matter. That is why this contest is based on a popular vote.

my shoe won't get bigger when you click on it but its basically a shoe for leo manzano. its got manzano on the forefoot and UT by the heal and is colored in UT colors. hey leo now may sign with saucony after college ha.

cause they are internet colors. it changes from an app like photoshop to the web. use adobe image ready to see the real color

You can color them in with photoshop, mspaint or any other paint/computer program or if you are oldschool, you can print it, color it in with markers or crayons and then scan it in and upload it.

Try to download the image now and give it a shot. We fixed it so it will work better in paint. I did mine in photo shop.
