Nicol looked great the first mile at 5 minutes, 20 seconds. Was aggressive at the start and got in a good position. Asselin (WVU) took off at the start as she did at Regionals however no one went with her. Pace for the rest of the pack was relaxed but honest. Nicol moved to the front of the pack for first mile and looked good. Pace took a big drop on lap 5. Nicol’s fifth -400-meter was 75. It seemed as if her body was a little shocked with the drop in pace. It just did not respond. cbs is so gay there commentating is boring and after rupp finished to other finishers were in frame. i wanted to see derrick finish but instead i had to see the close up of rupp. im so sick of him, ya hes a smart racer but at some point he has to realize that winning in a ty time is worth sititng in kicking. i no ino he had a race yesterday but this is just so anooyingly commmon. XC, yesterday, today, its smart ya but just so annoying

You guys were doing some serious multitasking! It was impressive to see you monitor the chat on your site while at the same time trying to figure out who was doing what in the race you were announcing. I'm only bummed you didn't get to talk to Centro...I see that the Oregonian said he left without comment.

You guys should interview Cecily Lemmon from BYU - she wasn't even at nationals last year and ran amazing tonight to get 2nd in the 10k!

The audio of the 10k was incredible. That was far better than watching 3 laps worth of video with commercials in between. Thanks guys, that made my night.

He was 2nd with 300m to go at 2:44.59 just behind Ben Blankenship of Minnesotat at 2:44.39
