Class

I think the class we should be talking about shouldn't be her veterinary course load but about the class Lisa Koll carries herself with. Her character is as inspiring as her dominant performances. For someone of her caliber, still sopping in sweat from the physical and mental brutality of those last 13 or so laps, to get in front of the camera and speak with such humility and passion is beyond me. I have never won an NCAA meet nor have had the opportunity to lose one that was mine to lose so the fact that she still can keep things in such perspective is really motivating to supporters of Lisa Koll and the sport of Track and Field. She is definitely underplaying her injury but that is what fierce competitors do. I can assure you, Lisa Koll will be back next year. She won't use these unfortunate situations as this "chip-on-the shoulder" driven vendetta but she will take these things that she has learned and use them as tools for the building of the rest of her legacy. We know this through her integrity. Her soft spoken words and modest insight are almost as beautiful as her magnetic smile and sparkling demeanor. I suppose there is no other way around it, this girl is overall gorgeous and I am excited to see what she can do in the upcoming year. Continue to hold your head high Lisa. |

newsflash: Iowa State is a Big XII state school, do not credit anything to an academic disparity. She still had a solid race. |

besides her foot, what happened with her indoor injury? something w/ fall on the ice= severe hip/back injury? As a IA HSer, I can say we all love her. And I doubt any of the those other girls of guys has a course load like she does, esp from those easy undergrad schools(ie Oregon, Arkansas), so go Lisa go! |
