Usain Bolt anchors his team's 4x400 at the 2010 Gibson Relays. Coming from almost 20m back, Bolt nearly nabs first.

How many people think he is on some enhancement drug that is not detectable yet? It's like a cat and mouse game with athletes and testing agencies.... |

When Bolt desides to run the 400 for real, he can break the world record. He was slowing down the last 40 meters and slowed way down the last 10-15. I agree, when he desides to run it, the record is his. |

you honoestly think there is one second with a "flying" start to a 4x4, highly doubtfulno biggie...it's pretty much the industry standard with a 10m fly-in vs. a block start. (You must be a distance runner) |

for some reason, if he could run the 800, I could see Bolt closing 24.0x or 23 high the last 200 lol. bolt is so strong. |

This is pretty crazy. This spring we have a non championship year, so maybe he will choose to put a little attention on the 400? He doesn't have much to prove in the 100 and 200 this spring, it would only be him vs himself trying to lower the records. He can pretty much pick and choose his races this spring, with no real obligations to compete for Jamaica in certain events. I say the 400 either goes down this spring, or in 2014. |

He does own it whenever he wants it. One month of 400 training and it's gone. |

When I saw the time I was not that impressed, as a flying start converts to 44.58. After seeing the race and how strong he was at the end off of little speed-endurance - I'm amazed. The record is not a sure thing, but it is possible this season given proper training.you honoestly think there is one second with a "flying" start to a 4x4, highly doubtful |

woahhhhh there...lets get one thing straight here, he is good. correction, he is an unbelievable runner, no question about it. but to say he owns the record whenever he chooses is a bit much. one of the most sacred records in the sport, in an event he doenst run but to get base work. he doesnt own the record when he chooses, however it is possible way down the road in a year or two after some 400 specifc training! |

what about those HORRIBLE exchanges!!! I agree...not 20 meters...more like 35-40. I was wondering where he was until i saw a giraffe among boys come SMOKING down the back. Almost had it. Really was fading. He can go much faster at this distance. |
