True frosh decathlete Curtis Beach after 1:47.9
Frosh decathlete Curtis Beach shocked the collegiate scene this past weekend when he ran a blazing 1:47.9 split in the 4x800 at the Armory. The time, which led Duke to a new school and facility record, is one in which the best in the NCAA rarely run during indoors. We talk with Curtis about the race and his expectations going into. With his coach on hand, we ask if it makes him wonder about the open events. Curtis also talks about the transition in his training from his high school days to his freshman year at Duke.

Redshirt Freshman Kevin Schwab of Oklahoma won the 3,000m at the Collegiate Invite. In only his second indoor race of his life, he ran a 24 second personal best to finish in 8:05.02, just 2 hundreths of a second off the NCAA Provisional Qualifying Time.

The 4x800 team from Liverpool High School (NY) ran a US #1 7:47 to win the HS 4x8 at the Collegiate Invite.

Georgetown sophomore Emily Infeld ran her 3rd NCAA automatic time in 2 weeks. After hitting the standard in the 3k last weekend, she anchored the Hoya's NCAA qualifying DMR on Friday night and came back on Saturday to run the auto in the mile, 4:36.83.
Liam Boylan-Pett Open Mile Champ Collegiate Invite
Former Columbia and Georgetown All-American won the Open Mile at the Collegiate Invite in his first post-collegiate season. He kicked hard off a slow pace, closed in 56 to finish in 4:04.68
