We're less than five days away from the excitement that is the PUMA Mile. As the anticipation builds for Friday evening's race we are ready to announce the full men's field for the mile. The growth in the depth of the mile from 2009 to 2010 has been impressive with a handful of athletes at sub 4 including Liam Boylan-Pett (Columbia/Georgetown Grad), Derek Scott (top seed at 3:57, Team Indiana Elite), and Andrew Jesien (UVA grad, USA 1500 finalist). These guys will have a tough task ahead to win the $10k contract from PUMA as they will have to make up just over 29 seconds on the women which will currently be led by Barbara Parker (2008 Olympian in steeple, FSU grad, PRs 4:12-4:36 and 8:52 3k). Women's entries are still be accepted. Stay tuned for more from Mt. SAC starting on Thursday this week.
The 2010 PUMA Mile will be broadcast LIVE from the Mt. SAC Relays on Friday, April 16 at 7:45pm PST on Flotrack.

Last year, the spectators stood on the track (outer lanes) during the race and rang cow-bells everytime the milers passed by....it was outrageous.
