Pretty cool to see Solinsky, Lagat, and now Wheating mixing it up with the best runners in the World.

He's a duck
I believe he can fly,
I believe he can touch the sky

What a race for Wheating and it couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. He's still such a novice in total mileage, but not in talent. Nice interview Flo Track!
The ducks will be loaded again next year, with A.J. Acosta running 3:53 and change for the mile equaling Juaquim Cruiz's school record. The same day, at the Pre meet, Wheating runs a 3:51.74 mile. The future looks bright for both of them.

What a personality and what an incredible talent! American track needs people like Wheating, Symmonds and Lagat for their enthusiasm and how they compete against the best. I really do feel like the 1500/mile will soon be as exciting as the early 80's when Coe, Ovett, Cram, Scott, etc were clashing all summer. Track is back!

Silas Kiplagat is 20?

Sure he is ...
After watching the fiasco at the 2010 World Junior Championships in the 10,000m and 3000m SC I have no faith whatsoever.

I predict the future top runners are going to be tall and lean. Height definitely is an advantage when it's harnessed with talent, speed and form. Look at Usain Bolt, Asbel Kiprop, David Oliver, etc... The problem is most athletes with talent and size choose more lucrative sports such as football or basketball.
wait what?? are you talking about sprinting events or what? The best distant runners are from ethiopia, and they are like 5ft5...Kenenisa Bekele and Haile Gebrselassie are tiny, yet very strong in long distance running and they are regarded as the best to ever run over long distance. especially 5k/10k.

Now that is an example of a great race announcer. With U.S. running on the move, it's time that the U.S. announcers step up. Flotrack needs to ride the momentum of these new hot U.S. talent.

Flotrack is awesome. There is no other media outlet that would put out a near seven minute, unedited interview with a sports star that gets crashed by another, bigger sports star, and another up and coming sports star from another country. Crazy good interview!

Amazing work, Flotrack!

3:30.90 = 3:46.29 2 years ago

I used the formula I got from trackandfieldnews. 1500 time X 1.073 = Mile time equivalency. To go from the Mile to a 1500 time equivalency multiply by .932.
Congratulations A W!
