Galen Rupp Euro Workout Wednesday
In the final WOW of Season 4 and the 2010 Track & Field season we connect with Galen Rupp and Alberto Salazar of the Oregon Project/OTC in Sweden. Rupp has been on a quest this season to put up some impressive marks that started back in the early spring at Stanford when he ran under that old American 10k record with his 27:10 performance (#2 All-Time US). He has continued dropping times with a 13:10 5k at Gateshead and most recently a 7:43 3k at Crystal Palace. Galen, on pace to run sub-13 at Stockholm, had a mishap when he was tripped up with less than 1k to go. Today in Zurich he will meet fellow countryman Chris Solinsky along with some of the best distance runners in the world to make his mark in the record books when they take to the line for the 5,000 meters. Tune in to UniversalSports.com at 2pm EST to catch the action from Zurich.

Chris Solinsky and changes in his career
Chris Solinsky just ran sub-13 for 5000 meters for the third time this season!! Having never run under 13 minutes before June, Solinsky is showing consistency and some fierce competitiveness that we haven't seen from an American other than Bernard Lagat for quite some time. Finishing third in the final Diamond League race at Zurich, Solinsky left us with a lot to look forward to in 2011!
In this interview Chris talks about two moments that became career changes for him. One being a severe low from the 2008 Olympic Trials and the other being a huge high as he broke the American Record for 10,000 meters with an impressive 26:59. Thanks for the exictement and buzz you've created this season Chris, its been a great ride.
Alberto on the anniversary of group's biggest breakthrough
Alberto Salazar talks about one of the biggest break throughs he's seen since having his elite team. It happened almost exactly a year ago at the Zurich Golden League meeting.
