Alysia Montano officially kicked off her 2011 campaign with a set of 400s, and Flotrack was on hand to catch the action. In 2010, Alysia started the season with a bang, earning the bronze medal at the World Indoors. After injury-filled seasons in 2008 and 2009, Alysia has begun her preparation for both the 2011 WC's in Daegu and ultimately the London Olympics next summer.

Alysia is sure a smooth runner and cool person. I found this workout video motivating, but, unlike The Stache, I'm VERY weary of having to endure the 10K intro before every single video. |

I want to see that intro again. Flotrack should make videos of great races with the commentary like they did in the chris solinsky intro. That was awesome |

He didn't say this was a 1:57 workout. Her PB is 1:57, so i think that is what he was probably referring to. And he didn't say she is in 1:57 shape today, he said if she is in Daegu. |

That's not a 1:57 workout as Mr. Holtz stated, there are no females on the planet doing 1:57 workouts in March. That was about a 2:01/2 work out for guys, although it might translate a little different for girls. That's good becasue you don't want to push too hard in the beginning, you want to build. Based on that workout, if Alysia runs around 2 flat in a meet in the next week or two, that would be a great early season marker. Some of the best NCAA 800m guys are only running around 1:49/50 right now, but some of those guys will be running 1:45/46 come June. That's the nature of the 800m, it takes a while to get both of the speed and endurance syetems in sync. Unfortunately, a lot of the 800m athletes who run fast times early usually don't get much faster and sometimes go backwards. |

I just want to say, I LOVE opening every video and seeing/hearing the call on Solinsky's 26:59. It gives me chills EVERY SINGLE TIME! Ryan's call with its mix of analyst and fan is, imho, my 2nd favorite finish call ever....just behind "LOOK AT MILLS!!!!!" |

pretty legit workout. If your in 157 shape and make the final at Daegu, anything can happen. |
