I would like to acknowledge the two boys from St. John Bosco for their 3200m efforts. Danny Martinez with the huge last 600 to run away with the race and post a 9:07 (top 10 in the nation as of now). And Myles Smith, 9:14...number one sophomore in the nation if I'm not mistaken. |

Justin Vilhauer ran 4:11 and split 1:53 in the SMR last year. He also had a bogus DQ at Arcadia but still ran 8:56. I say bogus QD because every video availble shows that he never cut in early. Some kid said he did, it wasn't even an official complaint. |

Thanks to APU & Tim O'Rouke for keeping this meet alive! We started the Distance Carnival meet at Baldwin Park HS in the early 1960s Bill(yCDMHS) and Donnie(GlendoraHS) SUMNER prepared the track beautifully. We had this meet for a few years and but got too big overwhelming to Coach, Mt SacDirector & with 6 period Electronic Class teach to do justus to all.The meet was split by Western HS and Hawthorne Hs untilTim O took over. Wow this should be a great Meet Thanks again |
