Bobby Curtis heads into 2012 with a different strategy that the one he has used over the past couple of years. Early peaks to run fast 10ks in the spring left him flat at the US Championships. He has the A qualifier for the Olympics and hopes to be ready to earn his first international team berth on the track.

Lifetime Bests:
Mile - 3:57.20
5000 - 13:18.97
10000 - 27:24.67
Half marathon - 1:01:53
Marathon - 2:16:44

he needs more endurance, the kenyans are able to do the last miles without losing speed

after taking a look at his PRs, I have to agree with you Yoming. I had no idea he was so fast all across the board. He's got a great chance at the team in the marathon. But, if he doesn't come through he will be in the hole in terms of the track trials. Tough choice.

I would run Houston marathon trials, but I respect Bobby's decision.
