I was pinging back and forth between the East & West feeds. The West coverage put the East to shame. Oregon has this down to a science. As soon as the qualifiers went up on the big screen I'd hit the live results button and there it was, times, order of finish. It went that smoothly all day, every day. The Indiana coverage was like going to a World Series game and getting a seat right behind a big post. Sound left a lot to be desired, and the announcer seemed to get lost in his thoughts occasionally. Oregon called great races, had all their facts straight, and built to an exciting finish. Great job Ducks! If you missed it, a beautiful Mallard Duck laid claim to the Steeple pond. It took some persistent NCAA officials to talk him into leaving and begin the girls race. Great rainy day fun! |
