Even a more skeptical viewpoint, having those individuals in the 50's back in the 60's would still put them roughly 232 points, putting them between Wisconsin in 3rd and Stanford at 4th. So they'd be 4th. Booyah.

In response to overrated I'd like to say you are probably right about those places. Let's say Andy Bayer places 25th. Let's say the rest of IU place 51, 52, 54, 56. Looking at last year's results the individuals in those places received 22, 41, 41, 43 and 45 points toward their teams (exception for place 52 who was not on a team but would have received 41 points). Add these up and that's 192 points.

I guess you're saying they would receive 192 points at the national meet, which would put them 1 point ahead of Florida State last year and gained them 2nd place. So I guess you mean they are currently underrated? You don't need a top 10 or top 20 stud in cross country to get on the podium. Use some logic moron.

Diego is the man. Such a great and personable runner as well! Talked to him after the race; very humble.

That was sweetness. Thanks for video Flotrack! OSU is gonna be tough to beat and Diego looked awesome. Had there been another k in race, I think Lowe would have caught Diego.

overrated 8 months ago

Indiana is actually so overrated its beyond belief. They have zero legitimate top 20 guys. Just a group around the 50-70 range with the exception of bayer, who is a top 30 guy. Oklahoma State and Wisconsin both have 5 guys who are legit top 20 guys.

I know it's a parlor game to speculate about German, but he looked extremely relaxed and smooth coming across the line. Really hope he has a lot more in the tank by the time NCs come around.

Diego, I may be your number one fan. It's so exciting to watch you race now knowing that I've watched you race and competed against you (though you walloped me) throughout high school. You make me even more proud to be from Salinas. Hell, you even gave me advice and believed in me when I didn't. I thank you for that and more. I can't wait to watch the rest of the season. "NAU rocks!" is right, you are a great inspiration. I'm rooting for you all the way!!

Go Diego!!! You're such an inspiration. Wish you would represent Mexico internationally. What a gift that would be. Love you man, and may God bless you and your running. Keep it up!!
