We look back about 2 months to Ryan Hall's first tempo run in NYC as he started his build up to the Houston 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials. The workout comes less than four weeks after Chicago and only 9 weeks before the Olympic Trials. Less just say Ryan looked smooth and recovered from Chicago....he even surprised himself.
Workout:
Tempo Run (either 12 miles or 65 minutes, whichever came first)
Location - Central Park (roads and rolling terrain)

its awesome to see how much more smooth and efficient Hall is compared to Alex. not that Alex is bad, but Hall is just.. better.. |

Piggybacking other posts, this video is all that's right and beautiful about Flotrack. Love that Flo was there, that y'all responded to Hall the way you did, that you had a not-totally-outta-shape guy even JOIN the workout for 5 min, crafted a sweetass video and then happily shared it for the rest of us running knuckleheads. Running porn, indeed. |

Huge fan of Mr. Hall. I saw him run a track 10K when he ran for Stanford but I think he moved up to the marathon too soon, but everyone makes their own decisions. He should do extremely well in the trials in a few days and judging by this video, he is covering those miles with ease. That said, the story might be completely different come London, as I suspect that may well prove to be an African sweep. |

that was unreal. all these guys stoked about there 15 mile tempos two weeks out and halls first rust buster tempo run is the equivalent of a 1:04 half marathon weaving through traffic. |
