Flotrack's Best of 2011 - Performance of the Year! Jenny Simpson becomes the first American women to win the 1500m gold medal since Mary Decker-Slaney in 1983. This is Simpson's first international medal and now looks to be one of the favorites for gold as we head into the 2012 Olympic Games! Sept. 1, 2011: After teammate Morgan Uceny is taken out in a fall, American Jenny Simpson wins a stunning gold medal in the women's 1500m. From Universal Sports

A look back at the 2009 IAAF World Championships on Flotrack
I was looking through footage and thinking how much fun we had covering the World Championships this year. I put this video together to hopefully show how much we enjoyed being there. A big thanks goes to all the athletes for talking with us and being a part of what we do. They showed us some great things in Berlin and I hope the fans out there had a great experience following track and field this summer. It seemed like our presence was felt which gets me pumped for the future. We're going to keep coming with more and more so hold on and enjoy the ride. I'm sad to see the track season go, but I know it'll be back again before we know it!
