Sally Kipyego the 7 time NCAA Champion gets in her last track workout before the Kenya Trials. Coming off of NCAA's winning the 5000m in a solo 15:15.08 setting a new meet record and running an amazing 4:06.67 1500m to take second behind Hanna England and breaking another meet record. Sally has already run a 31:25 NCAA record this year for 10,000m. Watch her get her last track workout in before she leaves for Kenya at the end of the week. Thanks to Chase Wade for getting the workout shot and edited.

Hey! I run my 400 workouts in 74, too! Of course, I only do 6 and she's doing 16...but still...hahahahaha

Hmm I know that track... It's too bad Sally didn't make the team, but that just shows how insanely competitive the Kenyan team is. Hopefully 2012. Good job with this video Chase!

Next time just strap a camera on and run the 400's with her. Gah the video quality is just terrible.. blah blah blah... I love how all of these people complain but have never contriubted to the site. Boo Hoo, angles are bad.. cry cry shirts are to expensive... Cram it and be glad that people are doing this for our sport cause god knows that ESPN won't.

Great job guys, I enjoyed to see a workout of one of the most dominant young women in NCAA ever..

Leung,
there are only so many angles on the track to get and Chase hit about everyone, unless he broke out the heli for some arial views which would be sweet. Great Workout Video.

That is really too bad..

nice video but the camera angels are becoming a little repetitive. Time for some new ones.

She missed making the Team. She was actually 7th Place. The race was a Fartlek. They would go 80's and then drop to 68's for two laps Then go back to 80's. Thanks Mark, I'll let her know..

Do we know if she made the team? I could not imagine her not after such an effortless workout

She's not even breathing hard.

Nice Work Chaser!
Tell Sally I am sorry we missed her cooking.

10k results 4 years ago

well i found results of the 10k and she wasn't in the top eight. on top of that they had pictures of the race. the start and during the race and i never saw her once. so i'm assuming she didn't run at the trials. the top 8 were all over 32 minutes which we all know sally is capable of running.

Nice video.

But it helps us to see the warmup and stretches and drills and cooldown and stuff. See the Shalane workout it's a perfect example.

Great video Chase. :)

I knew she was good, but I didn't know she was that good.
That workout is ridiculous.Hitting everytime on every rep is very hard to do.None the less do it for all 16 4's.Impressive to say the least.Good luck Sally at the trials!

Best I could find for the W 10,000m at the Kenyan Trials was that Kipyego didn't make top 5. Like the coach said, I'm sure the field was tough. Should she have thought about the 1500m? The Kenyan Fed. only named two women to the team in that event. I'm guessing because of A-standard qualifications, which Sally had.
