Coach Mick Byrne has had a long and storied career. He started running at Providence College, coached and taught at Iona College for 24 years, and then made the move to Madison in 2008. The jump from the MAAC to the Big 10 may have surprised Byrne, but he's carried the torch for the Badgers. How crazy is the Big 10? "Nuts."

Interesting he mentioned Rob Gary to see the switch between Byrne and Gary; big school vs small school. Never knows what motivates coaches or new challenges!

Awesome interview! I like how more videos of the trip to Wisconsin are released gradually instead of all at once - hopefully there are still some left to release!

I only wished you had asked Mick Byrne what his personal running times were haha. One question I would really like to ask him is how he so quickly formed the culture that the Badgers distance crew has - the whole "Badger tough" attitude and the pride that the runners display for wearing the Wisconsin uniform.
