Hey team, pretty much this past week is the first one worth reporting for me after about a month of frustrating training room encounters and doctors visits. I managed to get 3 30 minute walk jogs and my first uninterrupted 30 minute run in this past week, so I probably totalled somewhere in the ballpark of 15 miles. I have been cross training everyday so even though my fitness is pretty low at this point I am confident I'll be in good shape by preseason. Hope everybody is running well and more people should post on here!

I haven't posted on here in forever, so I'll just give a general recap. Now that work is in full swing, it's been a bit of a challenge to fit in the time to run. These past two weeks, I was aiming to hit 45-50 miles, but looking over the minutes (since I don't track distance on the hills), I think it's been closer to 40. I'll try to plan better this week, which might mean doubling some days so I'll still have time to shower before work.
I've felt pretty good on almost every run. Some highlights from the past few weeks were outkicking Felipe (and Maribel) in a 4th of July 10K, running through a historic village in Tahoe, and going on an awesome long run with Mary Kriege. The toughest thing is keeping up the pace when there's nobody with me to push me, but luckily, with the hills I've been running, I'm maintaining pretty good fitness regardless.

Why aren't more people posting on here? Just Ollie and I for now I suppose. Let's see: I ran 53 miles within 6 days, on 8 runs. I did my long run on Wildwood from Germantown, which was the first time I LR not on Leif. Dat was cool I guess. I saw Chris Solinsky at Nike today. That was also cool. I must get up over 60 miles this week. Should be do-able, because I plan on running all days of the week.

Week 5

Took the first day threes of this week off recovering from losing my wisdom teeth, but closed it out well. Ran just about 40 miles in 4 days, capped off by my first deuce of the summer today. Looking to start getting close to max mileage for the first time next week before I head to Tahoe. Keep on keepin' on, y'all.

Ran just over 50 in 6 days, twice I doubled. That is about where I was hoping to be, so I'm happy. Hopefully my doubles this week will be a little bigger, and my midweek as well, which will boost my milage up to 60. I ran my long run at Leif; 12 miles in 85:30, about 7:07 pace. I don't think I've ever been able to run quite that fast for a regular run. So, I am happy!

Week 4

Started to get things together this week. About 72 miles in singles. Thursday's midweek at Quicksilver with the Cos was the worst run I've ever had, bar none. Worse than anything from the abysmal week 8 before sopre year, worse than any race at Crystal, worse than when I had the flu. No joke. Bounced back the last couple of days though; we might round into shape this summer after all. Still haven't really had a run feel good yet, but hopefully that will happen soon. I'm getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow, so this week's going to be down again, but I'm planning for a quick recovery so I can be ready for some big mileage up at Tahoe in a couple weeks.
Keep fighting the good fight everyone.
