Week 12

Hey everybody. Since I last posted at the end of week 8, things have been pretty rough. I screwed up some stuff in my lower back and right leg, and still haven't been able to figure out exactly what the problem is, but it kept me from running for 26 days. I've been cross-training a lot, and I finally went on a couple of easy runs this weekend. I think I'll be able to start training on it now, so hopefully I'll be back in full swing by the time the regular season gets underway. Anyway, it's been good to follow how well everyone else's training has been going (for the most part), and I'm super-psyched to see y'all in a couple of days.

Week 12

This week was pretty much a major recovery week for me. I only ran a little over 12 miles in 86 minutes. Last Tuesday was the day that I ran. My first run felt ok, but on the second run my left achilles tendon felt tight and had two sharp pains. At least that was better than the week before. But I felt that I better take some more time to let it heal fully. The good news is that I will be able to return to running on Tuesday. I plan on gradually building back up my milage over the next couple of weeks. I look forward to seeing all of you next week.

Week # XII

100.8 miles in 651 minutes. Probably the best week of training I've ever had, and capping off a three week stretch that totals 290, so I'm feeling very good about that. I felt awesome for the first part of the week, had a couple rough days late in the week and then had a pretty good long run today. Highlight was definitely my mid-week run where I did 16 in 95 minutes and felt awesome. It was good to be in portland for the week but I'm looking forward to seeing everyone in a few days. Down week this week definitely...
Peace.

Week 11

This week was not as good as I wanted I to be. On Tuesday during a 14 mile run, my left achilles tendon began to have sharp pain around mile eight. I decided to take a day off, and I swam another three days. The good news is that towards the end of the week I was able to run again without any pain. I will gradually build up my milage in the next week or two.

Week # XI

Hit 90 miles in 617 minutes for the last week in Tahoe. We came back down yesterday and I'm leaving to be in portland tomorrow until sunday. I really have no idea where mileage will be. If I'm feeling good could be as high as 100 or if not as low as 75 or so. Only time will tell.
Peace

Week 11

I was going to hit 80 again this week but Saturday I was wiped out from a lack of sleep combined with not eating for 24 hours then stuffing myself with a ton of pizza. But I still got in a good 70 miles. Sunday I did a 15 mile run somewhere around 1:40. This week I'm going on a 4 day backpacking trip, but I'll run really early on the day I leave and then really late when I get back so that I'll only miss two days. Hopefully I'll be able to fit another 70 in there.

Week 11

Wooooo hit the peak! 70 miles in 533 minutes. I didn't feel tired at all this week, which is great news. The whole week I was up in Tahoe with rob dog and Austin. I did one run one that was 5 miles at sub 7 pace. I need to get my legs moving over a little more. I'm going to try to keep my milage around 70 this week, with more drills, strides, and core.

Week 11
Definitely the furthest week but not sure if I felt the best over the entirety. Ran a total of 87.2 miles in just over 583 mins. Am psyched that I have been able to push the mileage up for the last four weeks and excited for our season to start as a team. I am not sure what next week has in store, but planning on a shorter 75-80 mile week depending on how my body feels.
