Week 11

Nobody's reading this anyway because we're two days away from preseason (which is very exciting), but here goes anyway. I ran 98.7 miles this week with 3 doubles. Pretty happy about the fact that I hit just about 84 miles in singles, kinda annoyed by the fact that I could have easily gone over 100 if I hadn't been so lazy yesterday evening when I was supposed to double, but whatever. I had a great long run today, so I'm glad I got the rest. I'm gonna have a couple more big weeks before we start racing, just not sure if this coming week will be one of them. Can't wait for everyone to get here.

I ran 76 miles over ten runs, which is officially the largest week I've ever completed. I dont know what it was, but Sunday my run was terrible! Oh well. Happy that I got the big milage in though. I will be hopefully high this week, but Saturday I'm driving all day back to school so I'm not sure I'll be able to run that day. I've also gone into post olympic-depression...luckily NBC is replaying everything all week so I can post-pone my sadness a little.
One more week!

Week 10

My family came to Tahoe last weekend and my summer class is much more work-intensive than I expected, so this turned into another down week, though it was a quality one. I ran just about 75 miles in six days, and I'm looking forward to going after big mileage again next week. I'll be back in the Bay on Tuesday afternoon; looking forward to being back with the whole crew. Let's finish off the summer strong and get ready for preseason.

I ran only 58 miles this week, which was lower then I was expecting to go. I pulled/strained my plantar tendon a bit in the middle of the week, and it caused me to take Friday easy and Saturday off. Getting really excited to come back to school and start working out with everyone though. Just trying to hit my peak ASAP so I can get it a few times before September. This week should be pretty good, although I've said that a few weeks in a row now. Also- GO LEO!!!!!! Man if that isn't a perfect example of it's any-mans-race then I don't know what is. I thought the Kenyans may sweep...they almost swept the wrong end of the race I guess.

Week 9

It was a dense week for me volume-wise. I ran over 95 miles with 4 doubles after only going about 7 miles on Monday. Highlights were a couple of nice 10-mile runs on Tuesday and Saturday. It's getting easier to get out the door and cruise that distance, which used to feel like a long run. By the last couple of days my legs were dead and I had to cut the long run short today, but I had a 1:45 run on Wednesday so I'm not super concerned. Also, since I ran 18 miles last Sunday, I had actually run over 100 miles in a seven-day span after Saturday evening, so that's kinda cool. I'm pretty much playing it by ear this week; if my body doesn't want to run much, I probably won't.

Hi everyone, I'm sorry that I have not been updating Flow Track. I have been using a written log. If anyone has not heard, I have a stress reaction in my lower left shin. This started in late may. I tried running on it after three weeks of time off, but it was not fully healed. I have been advised to take two months off. So far I have taken about three weeks, so I have until September 8th and then I will start to run again. The plan I for me to swim and aqua jog in place of each run. When September 8th comes, I will start to phase out swimming and phase in running. I will make to keep you guys updated on my training from now on. I hope everyone is having a great summer. I am in the Cayman Islands right not, and will be home the 6th. So (Bryan and Matt lets swim).

8 Another mid-60 week. 63 exact, in 8 runs. The highlight of my week was most certainly my long run yesterday. 17 miles, in 2 hours, definitely ranks as the farthest I have ever run. That was pretty neat. I am hoping to be in the mid 70s next week. I've been trying, but if there is just one thing off during the week, like I have to be somewhere, or I'm busy, blah blah, I can't do it. To get to 80 I will have to be really free. Tuesday I'm going to mid-week, and Wednesday I'm going to run a relay race type thing in the evening. So, hopefully I can do it this week. Pray for me.

Weeks 7 and 8
Last two weeks have been in the low 20's, I would have liked to go a little higher last week but I was hesitant to double after working a running camp in the mornings. I'm still hammering the cross training and my legs are feeling ok. This week I'm excited to try and break the 30 mile barrier which is a little bit closer to legitimate training. Hope everybody is doing well.
